Preston's new friend

Preston has been mentioning his friend, Aiden, for a few weeks now. I thought it must have been someone he met when Jared had the boys somewhere. After continually asking him where he met him, where does he live, how old is he, it has become pretty clear to me that Aiden is an imaginary friend. These are the things we have learned about Aiden thus far:

  • He has green hair and green skin
  • He's from St. George
  • He lives in a box
  • He drinks alcohol (Preston loves to talk about alcohol since we told him that we don't drink alcohol)
  • He got in trouble for playing in the snow too long
  • He shares his drinks with Preston (hopefully not the alcoholic ones) ;)
  • He almost died because he got a fever and had to go to the hospital
We have a niece that had multiple imaginary friends when she was growing up and I thought it was hilarious and adorable. Now that it has happened to one of my own children, it's a little creepy. I guess we'll just have to see how long 'Aiden' hangs around. Has anyone else had experience with this?

That's funny! Not creepy because he's not mine ;-)
My kids never had imaginary friends but I would just roll with it and keep writing the funny things down!

That's funny. Alyssa has imaginary pets. Three dogs, all small enough to fit in her tiny hand together, all named Alex. They eat a variety of food on the floor in front of the refrigerator, including Fruit Loops, salt, pepper, cheese and fruit snacks. They also bathe with her and she has to collect them out of the tub every. single. day. :)

From my point of view it is hilarious and adorable. I've never had any kids with imaginary friends, they usually just pick a stuffed animal and say all the things Preston said about his imaginary friend. I love his comments on the alcohol. One of my kids is fascinated with that as well.

Robbie had an imaginary friend named "Bokiga" for about 8 or 9 months. We didn't know what to think at first, but after awhile, his friend finally disappeared.

It's actually pretty funny::) Take care.

When my nephew was little, he had a 'friend' named Francy - where he came up with that name, who knows! Anyway, Francy was quite the character. One time while in the car he explained that Francy was going to go with them on their trip, my sis told him that Francy needed to buckle up, nephew then replied that Francy preferred to ride on the hood of the car.

It is fun to look back and chuckle on those memories.
